The Heart Behind lovem0m.com

Imperfect, Beautiful, and Always Done with Love

digital heart

At lovem0m.com, the mission is simple yet deeply heartfelt: to share the stories, wisdom, triumphs, stumbles and full on faceplants of parenthood. To remind us all, we're not alone on this journey. Motherhood is a culmination of overwhelming love, unyielding joy, and the profound struggles that shape us. It’s about celebrating the messy, beautiful reality of raising children while embracing the growth, healing, and transformation that comes along the way.

For me, parenting is a never-ending masterclass in love, forgiveness, grace, and resilience. My kids—each in their own unique way—have taught me what it means to feel joy so profound it brings tears to my eyes (so much so that my youngest lovingly calls me a "crybaby"). They’ve been my greatest teachers, helping me redefine success, stretch the boundaries of my emotional capacity, and grow into the best version of myself.

Now that my youngest is nearing the end of high school, I find myself overflowing with love, wisdom, and the desire to remind them—and every mom out there—that things don’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. lovem0m.com is my way of pouring that love and passion into a space that celebrates the essence of motherhood: imperfect, beautiful, and always done with love.

Luna

Luna has been my loyal companion the longest, helping me heal after the loss of my first cat baby Nero. She came into my life as a tiny, 4-week-old runt from a feral momma kitty, and despite her small beginnings, she’s packed her life with adventure and a touch of mischief. Luna is a lovely little girl with a big personality and a story all her own—one filled with daring escapades and occasional torment for her humans! True to her independent spirit, she firmly believes she should be the only four-legged baby in the house, often channeling her feral roots by choosing an outdoor life—except, of course, on cold or rainy nights when I lock her in for her own good.

Stella
Stella is our beloved Weimaraner/Black Lab mix who entered our lives during a challenging time for our family. We adopted her as a puppy when our oldest son was navigating significant mental health struggles, hoping she would be a comforting companion—and she was so much more. Stella’s presence brought a calming shift to our home dynamic, quickly earning her "diva" status as she charmed her way into everyone’s hearts (except for Luna's). Over time, her love for being the center of attention inspired my affectionate nickname for her: the "whiny-rimer." As long as Stella is soaking up the spotlight, she’s a happy girl.

Ebony
I have a hard time calling Ebony "ours." When my mom moved in with us a few years ago, she had a slew of stray cats she’d been feeding in her backyard. I told her she could only bring one, and that was Ebony—my first choice, too. When we moved to Texas, my mom’s life tragically changed forever, and she ended up in a nursing facility—a story for another time. Knowing she will never be able to come home, Ebony has quietly worked her way into everyone’s heart (even Luna’s, though she’d never admit it). Ebony reminds me of a reincarnation of Nero—sweet, loyal, and loving. She’s the sweetest Velcro kitty I’ve ever known, always by our side, and she carries a special piece of my mom with her.

Mia

Mia is my sweet, silly, and utterly irreplaceable Pit Bull mix who came into my life when I was struck with a serious case of puppy fever. With my husband and oldest son often on the road and my youngest busy with music and performances, the house felt a little too quiet. One day, I stumbled upon a roadside litter of puppies (it’s Texas, after all), and Mia practically chose me—jumping out of the crate and into my arms. She has since become my constant companion and undeniable emotional support puppy. Cuddly, playful, and endlessly entertaining, Mia is always ready to make us laugh by chasing her tail in a hilarious show of determination and joy. She keeps me moving during long workdays and fills the house with love and laughter. If I could clone her, I absolutely would—she’s just that special.

Note: My husband Cameron has always been my biggest fan, and his love and support is of the utmost importance. My kids have always been (even more so as they've gotten older) my cheering section. Jadon (Gen Z) "Full send, Mom." Phoenix (Gen Z) "That's W", Tia (Millennieal) "That's rad!"

My Support Team

I’m Davindia Steele—wife, mother, creative strategist, and storyteller with a passion for soulful connection and authentic expression. I've raised two amazing boys—one now an adult and the other finishing up high school (cue all the tears!)—and have had the honor of being part of my stepdaughter's life, witnessing the incredible woman she’s become. These relationships are my greatest and most authentic achievements. My journey as a mother has been about striving to be a better person, not for perfection’s sake, but for the betterment of the people who call me “Mom.” It hasn’t always been smooth sailing—I’ve had my share of bumps, bruises, and those moments of screaming my head off to get things back on track. But I’ve loved every minute of it. Now, as the chaos of raising young children has quieted, my deep well of love for my kids is overflowing, and that’s what inspired me to start lovem0m.com.

My career has been a vibrant tapestry of experiences: processing and selling loans, working in real estate, co-hosting a Seattle-based radio show with my husband for over a decade on personal empowerment and holistic healing, and being a Podcaster before podcasting was even a thing. I’m also the author of Banishing the Boogieman - A Parents Survival Guide: Helping Your Children Through Nighttime Fears (available on Amazon), a spiritual mentor, ordained minister, and a developmental editor, and the founder of a digital media company. Through my work, I help people and businesses find their unique voice and craft meaningful messages that resonate. From branding and web design to podcasting and voiceovers, my mission is to tune into the energy of my clients and amplify their vision with clarity and purpose.

Now that my kids are older, I’ve found time to focus on my own creative pursuits. I’m writing stories that explore themes of connection, healing, and personal growth, as well as children’s stories inspired by the adventures and characters I’ve conjured up with my kids. Writing is my way of fostering imagination as well as uncovering deeper truths and emotions that inspire meaningful change, both for myself and for those who read my work.

Motherhood has shaped so much of my creative voice. As the founder of lovem0m.com, I share the raw, beautiful realities of being a mom—the triumphs, struggles, and the profound moments of love and healing. This space is a reminder to moms everywhere that perfection isn’t the goal; love, passion, and resilience are. Whether I’m crafting a brand strategy, editing a novel, or reflecting on the lessons my kids have taught me, everything I do comes from a place of connection, growth, and love.
